The City of Solana Beach is currently performing annual street maintenance of selected streets based on a 5-year pavement maintenance program. Some streets were recently overlaid with new asphalt concrete. The following streets are scheduled to be slurry sealed next Monday and Tuesday. Slurry seal is a different process than overlaying and requires a longer time for the road to be drivable so all affected residents should take the necessary precautions to avoid any conflicts.

The hours of operation will be 7am – 5pm.

Monday, November 5th Slurry Seal
  • South Cedros from Marsolan to Cofair
  • Castro & Gonzales Streets
  • Del Mar Shores Terrace
  • Santa Rosita from Santa Helena to Santa Florencia
  • North and South Plaza Public Parking Lots

Tuesday, November 6th Slurry Seal
  • Canyon Place
  • Glencrest Place
  • Santa Gabriella
  • Santa Marta
  • South Granados south of Palmitas

During the slurry seal operation, driving on these streets will be prohibited. The slurry needs to dry a few hours before opening to traffic. A few days before, the contractor will place no-parking signs and notify affected residents via door hangers. The slurry seal operation may require detours to other streets and could cause delays. Please pay attention to all roadwork signs and, if possible, avoid the work zone.
