Traffic Impact: Del Mar Wine & Food Festival

This weekend, October 3 and 4, the Del Mar Wine & Food Festival is at the Surf Sports Park, meaning there will be large crowds and increased traffic in the Del Mar area. Marine Safety's Pink Patch Project

The Solana Beach Marine Safety Department will proudly wear pink patches on their regular duty uniforms for the entire month of October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. These distinctive pink patches have been uniquely designed for their involvement in the Pink Patch Project, a collaborative campaign involving public safety agencies across the nation. This vital project not only raises breast cancer awareness, but also actively contributes to breast cancer prevention and cure research. To show support like our Lifeguards, you can purchase these pink patches at the Fletcher Cove Marine Safety Facility and wear them throughout October and beyond. All proceeds from patch sales benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
