If kindness is your superpower, we need you! We’re looking for kind-hearted volunteers to help us celebrate World Kindness Day on Saturday, November 14 from 10:00-2:00 PM at Fletcher Cove Park. This special event is all about inspiring kindness through uplifting activities and simple acts that spark kindness and connection. Volunteers will help welcome guests, support activity stations, and share positivity throughout the afternoon. We’re also inviting community members, local groups, and organizations to host a kindness-themed booth or activity. If you have a creative idea that spreads joy, we’d love to hear it! To volunteer or propose an activity/booth, please email Kayla Moshki at kmoshki@cityofsolanabeach.ca.gov. |

Fall means variety of exciting activities, including Halloween festivities, crunchy leaves, Thanksgiving meals, and the start of the holiday season. During all this fun, households can generate a little more waste than usual - from old pumpkins to yard trimmings, cardboard boxes, and leftovers. When creating waste, it's important to know how to sort it correctly and be a bit kinder to the environment. Visit the website to see what goes where, and some local resources for waste and recycling. |
