Although necessary steps were taken to ensure that streets adjacent to polling places in Solana Beach would not be impacted this Tuesday (Election Day) by the planned Slurry Seal project, in an abundance of caution the City has decided not to conduct any operations or close any streets on Tuesday, November 6th. Therefore, the City is moving the work scheduled for Tuesday, November 6th, to Wednesday, November 7th. The work scheduled for Monday, November 5th, will take place as planned. Please see the updated map below for the planned street closures.
Additionally, trash and recycling pick-up will occur as scheduled on streets where Slurry Sealing is planned. Please make sure your trash and recycling cans are placed on the street by 7am. Trash and recycling cans will be placed off the roadway after pick-up and prior to the Slurry Sealing.
The hours of operation will be 7am – 5pm.

During the Slurry Seal operation, driving on these streets will be prohibited. The slurry needs to dry a few hours before opening to traffic. A few days before, the contractor will place no-parking signs and notify affected residents via door hangers. The Slurry Seal operation may require detours to other streets and could cause delays. Please pay attention to all roadwork signs and, if possible, avoid the work zone.
