County to Conduct Mosquito-Fighting Larvicide Drop |

The San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality has noticed an increase in mosquito complaints from residents near tidal lagoons along the coast, due to recent high tides. While they are conducting follow-up inspections, the County is also preparing for the next routine aerial larvicide drop, scheduled for Wednesday, August 5 and Thursday, August 6, to help curb mosquito populations. This larvicide poses no threat to humans or pets but is highly effective in eliminating mosquito larvae before they mature into biting adults. Check the website for a full list of locations and treatment schedule. |
