Call for City Hall Gallery Exhibits

Attention artists! The Public Arts Commission invites you to submit applications for the 2026 City Hall Gallery Program. We’re on the lookout for captivating individual artists or groups of artists to be featured in exhibits throughout the year at our City Hall Gallery. With six exhibitions planned, each spanning 8 weeks, here's your opportunity to make a lasting impression on the vibrant Solana Beach art scene. Artists should be prepared with an ample body of work, they are encouraged to take a tour of the space and be familiar with the wall space in order to fill the designated areas. The deadline to apply is Friday, October 17th.

Recycling Pizza Boxes and

New Recycling Bin at Fletcher Cove

Next time you enjoy a pizza by the beach (or at home), make sure to dispose of your pizza box properly. Clean pizza boxes should be recycled, and dirty pizza boxes can be taken home to your green organics bin. Just remember to take all those little plastic “tables” out of the box and any other non-paper trash.

When you can’t “pack it out” after a day at the beach, look for one of the City’s new pizza recycling bins. These recycling bins will be rolled out during summertime events such as Concerts at the Cove and Beach/Park Movie Nights, and all boxes will be composted – so again, please remove all plastic inside the box. Together we can keep Solana Beach Clean and Green!
