Concerts at the Cove this Thursday night

Summer “Concerts at the Cove” continues this Thursday night, August 5th, 6:00 pm - 7:45 pm, with the Sully Band performing! ABOUT THE BAND The Sully Band is an R&B groovement, playing covers and originals with their unique 10-piece sound. Recently named San Diego Music Awards “Best Live Performer” in July 2020, The Sully Band has been making a name for themselves in the virtual space with weekly virtual concerts and events on Facebook Live, Instagram TV and YouTube. Their very first single, “Best Damn Fool,” garnered critical acclaim after its release at KAABOO Del Mar (Sept 2018), followed by their recent releases, “Green Dress,” “Never Gonna Give Up” and a cover of the timeless soul classic, “Try A Little Tenderness.”  Along the way, the band members have garnered Grammy and Tony Awards and nominations and have performed and recorded with industry notables such as Eric Clapton, Lionel Ritchie, Michael Jackson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cheap Trick, REO SpeedWagon and others. Upcoming Concerts at the Cove Series: August 12 - Bayou Brothers August 19 - Rolf Olsen Quartet August 26 - Brawley This event is free and open to the public.  The City would like to remind people to remain mindful of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and advises everyone to take the necessary precautions if you plan to attend the event.  Please stay informed regarding any updated public health advisories by visiting coronavirus-sd.com, covid19.ca.gov or cdc.gov/coronavirus.  The public is encouraged to bring low-back beach chairs, ground cover, picnics, and arrive “Car-Free.”  No alcohol, tobacco, pets, or personal BBQ’s allowed during concerts.
