Earlier today, the League of American Bicyclists recognized the City of Solana Beach with a Silver Level Bicycle Friendly Community (BFC) award. With this award, Solana Beach joins a leading group of communities in every state that are transforming the American landscape. The BFC program is revolutionizing the way communities evaluate their quality of life, sustainability, and accessibility while allowing them to benchmark progress toward improving their bicycle-friendliness. Solana Beach becomes the fourth city in San Diego County that has received a BFC designation.
