Applications are currently being accepted through Friday, May 25, 2018, 5:00 p.m.

The View Assessment Commission is tasked with reviewing filed view assessment requests. Using the City Council adopted "guidelines and toolkit," the View Assessment Commission will review all feasible solutions for development and choose the alternative which provides the best balance between the owner's desire to develop his/her property in accordance with applicable regulations and the neighbor's desire to protect his/her view. Assess view assessment applications and make definitive decisions on projects.The Climate Action Commission participates in reviewing certain matters regarding reducing the City's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and implementing the Climate Action Plan.

Under Council's direction the Climate Action Commission will focus on specific issues surrounding the implementation of a Climate Action Plan including updating the City's Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory, setting reduction targets, implementing mitigation measures and performing periodic monitoring, verification and evaluations.


Regular Meetings: 3rd Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.

Position Requirement: One Member: At least 18 yrs. old - Resident of the City of Solana Beach
