The Regional Transportation Plan is required to be updated every 4 years. The San Diego Association of Governments ( SANDAG) is starting work to develop an updated big-picture vision for our region as well as an implementation program to make that vision a reality. San Diego Forward: The 2019-2050 Regional Plan, once adopted, will lay out a comprehensive path forward for our region, taking into account how our approach to land use, transportation, technology, infrastructure, open space, and the environment can evolve to meet our region's growing and changing needs. The Regional Plan is intended to represent all the different communities and constituencies that encompass our diverse region, one more reason why SANDAG needs participation by the community. To gain a robust dialogue with community leaders, stakeholders, and the general public, SANDAG is hosting a series of open houses throughout the County. In our area, SANDAG is hosting an open house on Wednesday, April 25th, 5:30 to 7:30 pm, at the Encinitas Public Library. |
