Beach Sand Replenishment at Fletcher Cove Beach

Beach Sand Replenishment at Fletcher Cove Beach
As part of Build NCC and the ongoing restoration efforts in the San Elijo Lagoon, crews are set to begin pumping beach quality sand onto Fletcher Cove Beach located along South Sierra Avenue in the City of Solana Beach.

This work began Saturday, April 28, and is anticipated to take approximately four weeks to complete. Beach replenishment operations will take place 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Crews will pump 146,000 cubic yards of sand from the lagoon and place it on Fletcher Cove Beach, continuing the process of replenishing a portion of the North County shoreline.

During beach replenishment work, beach-goers can expect limited access around work areas and nearby residents and businesses can expect intermittent noise and lights.
