Dear Residents and Community Members,
Thank you to all the residents that recently completed our 2026 Community Survey! It was such great to news to hear that over 96% of residents still highly value the quality of life here in Solana Beach.
It’s important everyone in our community have an opportunity to join this important discussion, we want to hear from all our residents and local businesses on City service needs and priorities.
As part of the survey, residents identified the following City service priorities:
- Keep trash and pollution out of our lagoons, local waterways and off our beaches
- Keep parks, beaches, and trails safe, clean, and well-maintained
- Keep public restrooms well-maintained and clean
- Maintain lifeguards at local beaches
- Upgrade coastal life-saving emergency medical equipment and technology
Our City’s economy is based in strong part on visitors and tourism to our community. Ensuring that visitors who stay in our local hotels and short-term lodging contribute towards addressing the impacts of tourism, is a responsible long-term approach for the City and community’s fiscal stability and quality of life.
You continue to tell us it is important to keep our taxpayer dollars local because we can’t depend on the state or federal government to take care of our local needs. A stable source of locally controlled funding can help to provide essential services to our residents and local businesses.
