| | | City of Solana Beach WEEKLY UPDATE March 26, 2026 | | | Final Week for Spring Clean Donation Drive | | | | There is one week left to drop off items at City Hall for the Solana Beach Cares Spring Clean donation drive! We invite the community to continue donating essential household cleaning supplies to help set families up for success and ease the burden on those in need. A full list of suggested donations is available on our website. Every donation, big or small, will go directly to a neighbor who could use a little extra care and support. Join this ongoing effort as we continue to build a kinder, more connected Solana Beach. | | Apply To Be a Junior Commissioner | | | | Are you a high school or middle school student who wants to make a difference at the local level? Become a part of the solution on Solana Beach’s Climate and Resiliency Commission as a Junior Commissioner! The City is now recruiting Junior Commissioners to join the Solana Beach Climate and Resiliency Commission. In this role, you’ll attend bi-monthly in-person meetings to help guide the City’s Climate Action Plan, implement local policies, and work with government officials to provide meaningful youth perspectives on climate solutions. | | Summer Day Camp Registration Date Change | | | | Attention Parents! We heard your concerns regarding the summer camp registration date (originally April 1st) and have moved the date back by one week to better accommodate residents who may be traveling during the first week of April for Spring Break. The new Summer Day Camp registration dates are Wednesday, April 8th at 9:00 AM for Solana Beach residents and Wednesday, April 15th at 9:00 AM for non-residents. Registration for the Junior Lifeguard program is already open and is not affected by this change. Sessions will fill up fast, so it is highly recommended to sign up early! | | Battery-Embedded Product Disposal Reminder | | | | Battery fires are destructive and dangerous to frontline workers in the sanitation industry. Prevent this danger by correctly disposing of old loose batteries and covered battery-embedded products. Covered battery-embedded products contain a battery that is not designed to be easily removed by the user. This includes items such as phones, ear buds, computer accessories, smart watches, electric shavers, and more. These items are considered Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and cannot be placed in the trash. Find an HHW Facility near you and see what items should be dropped off. | | Children's Spring Festival & Egg Hunt Saturday, April 4th at 10:30 AM | | | | The hunt is on!
