Last Week to Submit Exhibit Applications for the 2026-27 City Hall Gallery Program

Attention artists! The Public Arts Commission invites you to submit applications for the 2026-27 City Hall Gallery Program. We’re on the lookout for captivating individual artists or groups of artists to be featured in exhibits throughout the year at our City Hall Gallery. With six exhibitions planned, each spanning 8 weeks, here's your opportunity to make a lasting impression on the vibrant Solana Beach art scene. Artists should be prepared with an ample body of work, are encouraged to take a tour of the space to become familiar with the wall space in order to fill the designated areas. The deadline to apply is Friday, October 17th.

Protect Your Vehicle From Theft

As a periodic public safety reminder, the City would like to take this opportunity to remind the community to lock all doors and roll up windows whenever leaving a vehicle unattended. Criminals often look for easy opportunities, such as unlocked cars or visible valuables. Keep your belongings out of sight. This includes wallets, phones, and other personal items, park in well-lit areas whenever possible, and report any suspicious activity. For beachgoers and surfers, avoid the temptation to hide your keys near your vehicle while in the water, as thieves are aware of these common spots. Instead, consider using a waterproof pouch to keep your keys with you. These small precautions can significantly reduce the risk of theft and help keep our community safe
