The City is pleased to announce another free food distribution event! Please consider helping families in need in our community this holiday season by donating to the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Your donation will enable the Food Bank to purchase frozen turkeys for this event in addition to the usual food items given to food-insecure families in the community.
The City is once again partnering with the Food Bank to provide this free food distribution event on November 23rd from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm at La Colonia Park. This event is to help struggling families in the community just before Thanksgiving.
The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and the North County Food Bank chapter comprise the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego County. Food Bank provides nutritious food to individuals and families in need in communities throughout San Diego County.
If you cannot donate now but would still like to help, the Food Bank is always looking for volunteers to assist the program. Please contact northcountyfoodbank.org/response if you are interested in volunteering.
