Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Solana Beach (City) implemented emergency service changes that were effective Tuesday, March 17th. As part of this emergency action, discretionary and ministerial plan review and building inspection services were temporarily placed on hold so that the City could implement appropriate procedures to protect the health and safety of the public, City staff and their respective contractors.
Effective Thursday, March 26th, 2020, the City has resumed essential services related to discretionary and ministerial plan review and building inspection services. These services are available by appointment only.
The purpose of the Plan and Document Drop-Off and the Inspection Guidance information is to inform the public, architects, designers, engineers, contractors, etc. of the expectations of both City personnel and those we serve and to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of customers, City Staff, and contractors.
