The City has approved the transition from the current provider, Waste Management, to the new provider, EDCO, who has served Solana Beach's commercial needs for many years. As a result, the City will now have one collector for all services: residential, commercial, and roll-off. Your current collection day will not change and you will continue to use the Waste Management containers for approximately six (6) months until EDCO begins replacing the containers. Effective Tuesday, January 2, 2018 (one-day delay all week due to the New Year holiday), EDCO will start collecting residential trash, recycling, and green waste. Waste Management will continue to collect residential trash, recycling, and green waste through Saturday, December 30, 2017.
