Free Compost Hub Now Available!

Solana Beach has a new Community Compost Hub! EDCO collects organic waste that comes from your green bins at home and transforms it into a nutrient-rich compost. Bring your own shovel and fillable container to the City's Public Works Yard at 1764 Highland Drive and grab some compost for free! The Compost Hub is open Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Adding compost to your plants and garden enhances soil fertility, increases water retention, and reduces erosion. Find out what you can and can’t put in your green bins to get the most out of your compost by clicking the link below.

The scholarships will be given based on the community service, grade point average and financial need of the applicant. Application deadline is April 30th.

Coastal Rail Service Closure

This Saturday, February 21st, and Sunday, February 22nd, the North County Transit District (NCTD) will be suspending all coastal rail services between San Diego and Oceanside to perform routine railroad maintenance and major infrastructure work.
