Notice of Availability of a Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Proposed Solana Highlands Revitalization Project

Proposed Solana Highlands Revitalization Project PROJECT LOCATION The Project site is located at 661 to 781 South Nardo Avenue and 821 Stevens Avenue in the City of Solana Beach in north coastal San Diego County, California. Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the City of Solana Beach, as Lead Agency, prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Report (Draft EIR) for the Solana Highlands Revitalization Project (proposed project). This Notice of Availability (NOA) is to inform you that the Draft EIR is being released for a 45-day public review period. Written comments on the Draft EIR should be submitted to Joseph Lim, AICP, Community Development Director, at the address below from June 19, 2018 to August 2, 2018, or via email to SolanaHighlandsEIR@cosb.org. View the Notice of Availability The City of Solana Beach has established a procedure for neighbors to work together to resolve potential view impairment issues. Solana Beach Municipal Code, Section 17.63 requires applicants for permits requesting modifications exceeding 16 feet above existing grade, to notify all property owners and occupants within 300 feet of the subject site. If you are concerned about possible view issues, If you are concerned about possible view issues, immediately contact the applicant to discuss the proposed project. If you are unable to resolve the issue after discussing it with the applicant, you may wish to consider filing a request for view assessment relative to specific building(s) that affect your view by the View Assessment Committee (VAC).
