Madeline Claire lives and works in Oakland, CA. She characterizes her work as minimalist impressionism, utilizing a monochromatic color palette to capture specific moments in time. The absence of color in her paintings provides a sense of timelessness. Madeline's inspiration for this show is drawn from nostalgic memories and family photos.

While studying at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco, Madeline began to develop her unique style. CCA chooses one student annually for the New York Studio Residency Program in Brooklyn; Madeline was awarded that honor. Madeline's work resides both in the permanent collection at Georgetown University as well as with private collectors. She has exhibited her work at the Museum of Contemporary Art in San Diego. Her numerous group exhibitions include "Stationed in Between" at Aggregate Space Gallery and "Phase Forward" at the Oliver Arts Center.
