La Colonia Park Holiday Tree Lighting Event

La Colonia Park Holiday Tree Lighting Event!
Tomorrow, December 14th at 5:00 PM at La Colonia Park
The City of Solana Beach and La Colonia Community Foundation are hosting a Holiday Tree Lighting Event at La Colonia Park tomorrow, December 14th from 5 PM to 7 PM. This family friendly event will continue rain or shine! The current forecast is predicting it will be raining and, if so, most activities will be moved inside the community center.

The City and La Colonia Community Foundation invites you to join your friends and neighbors on Tuesday, December 14th at historic La Colonia Park to celebrate the start of the holiday season. There will be plenty of sweets, treats, and Mexican hot cocoa to go along with all the fun. Including traditional holiday aguinaldos treat bags for the children, and delicious pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread). Festivities begin at 5 PM so don’t be late or you might miss Santa’s arrival!

Once the switch is flipped by Mayor Heebner and City Council, and the tree lights turn on, all eyes will be watching for Santa’s arrival with his elves, scheduled for 5:20 PM. Children will have the chance to ask Santa for that most important gift and to remind him just how good they’ve been all year. Happy Holidays!

For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (858) 720-2453. La Colonia Park is located at 715 Valley Ave, Solana Beach.
