That means more kids walking, biking, and getting dropped off around town. Drivers are urged to slow down and use extra caution near school zones, crosswalks and bus stops, and a reminder to allow extra time for your commute during drop-off and pick-up hours. Let’s start the school year on the right foot and keep our students safe every step of the way. | | Senior Pickleball League Coming to La Colonia Park! | | | Solana Beach Parks & Recreation is launching its first Senior Pickleball League this September for players ages 60 and up. This new service makes it easier and more convenient for property owners to submit filings and payments anytime, from anywhere. An instruction guide is available to walk you through setting up your account, linking your STVR/TOT account, and completing monthly filings and payments. City staff will notify all monthly filers directly with the exact Business ID and Business Owner Name as listed in our system. | | Tree Grate Replacement Project Underway on Highway 101 | | | The Public Works Department has launched a tree grate replacement program along Highway 101 to replace aging or damaged grates on the westside sidewalk. This will improve pedestrian safety and maintain the corridor’s appearance. So far, eight grates south of Cliff Street have been replaced, with reusable sections repurposed to fix other damaged units. Another eight new grates have been ordered and will be installed once delivered. Funded through the Coastal Business/Visitors Fund using TOT revenue, this project reflects the City’s commitment to safe, attractive public spaces. | | SANDAG Seeks Public Members for Audit Committee | | | SANDAG is looking for three public members to serve on its Audit Committee for a two-year term starting November 1st.
