This is a courtesy notice to remind the community that the green waste service provided by EDCO will be changing this month to an automated program. Starting the week of August 17th, EDCO will begin delivering automated green waste carts to residents on their collection days. Each customer will receive a new green 95-gallon wheeled cart, at no extra charge, for green waste recycling. Everyone should have received a few different mailers so far detailing the transition, but please be on the lookout for the comprehensive mailer (also attached below) for detailed information.

The 95-gallon cart is the equivalent of three standard green waste containers and is the same size as the current gray and blue trash and recycling carts most people have. After the initial delivery, residents may request smaller cart sizes equaling the same 95-gallon capacity. Also, residents can request up to two (2) additional green waste carts at no charge. If you do not want your old containers, place a note on them indicating you no longer want them and put them out at the curb on your collection day the week following delivery of your new green waste cart and EDCO will pick them up.

EDCO and the City realize this is a significant transition, but it is necessary for a variety of reasons, including the future implementation of a required food waste recycling program. We understand there will be some minor inconveniences and changes needed by some residents to make this work. EDCO is committed to discussing any potential issues with residents that have concerns, questions or special needs. EDCO has established a variety of platforms to connect with residents to answer any questions, including:
