Summer "Concerts at the Cove" continues this Thursday night, August 2, 6pm-7:45pm, with Funk Junkies performing! Funk Junkies The Funk Junkies, one of San Diego's premiere dance bands, will get YOU up while THEY get down! Their unique blend of rhythm and hi-energy fun(k) is addictive and will leave you wanting more. Whether it's Disco, R&B, or just plain Funk, this exceptional band covers the music you love from the 70's through today. This event is free and open to the public.  The public is encouraged to bring low-back beach chairs, ground cover, and picnics . . . and arrive "Car-Free." No alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, pets, or personal BBQ's allowed during concerts. Community Advisory: Special Event Road Closures Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 Annual Solana Beach Triathlon & Duathlon Please be advised that the Annual Solana Beach Triathlon & Duathlon event is this Saturday, July 28th and Sunday, July 29th. This is an annual event that brings talented athletes to the area.   Road Closures (Sat & Sun) South Acacia Street (from Plaza Street to Dead End): Sat: 7am-5pm for pre-race expo, Sun: 4am-1pm for Triathlon Road Closures (Sunday only) Hwy 101 (northbound), from Via De La Valle to Las Olas, 6:30am-10:30am (traffic will be directed north via South Sierra Ave or Cedros Ave from Via De La Valle) Hwy 101 (southbound), from Lomas Santa Fe to Via De La Valle, 6:30am-10:30am. Summer "Concerts at the Cove"

Summer "Concerts at the Cove" continues this Thursday night, July 26, 6pm-7:45pm. Three Chord Justice  What brought TCJ together in March 2008 was a love of the music they play and a desire to bring it to as many ears as will listen. Hailing from Missoula Montana singer/songwriter Liz Grace leads TCJ through a mix of country crafted originals and handpicked covers from the likes of Emmylou Harris, Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Buck Owens, Patsy Cline and other country greats. She got an early start singing in bars and honky-tonks, far before legal age, having to wait in alleys during band breaks. The rest of TCJ is made up of some of the finest pickers and grinners from the SoCal country music scene. The incredible steel guitar master Randy Hess will certainly impress while guitarist extraordinaire Mr. Bobby Ryan delivers the finest chickin pickin available. The rockin' rhythm section of Ludwig drummer Mark Markowitz powers the vintage engine room and locks in the low end with bassist Mr. Dave Preston while providing the backbone for the BEST voice in town: Liz Grace. Three Chord Justice ain't looking to change the world...they just want to put a little twang'n your corner of it! This event is free and open to the public.  The public is encouraged to bring low-back beach chairs, ground cover, and picnics . . . and arrive "Car-Free." No alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, pets, or personal BBQ's allowed during concerts.
