Traffic Impacts - Encinitas Half Marathon
Sunday, March 4, 2018, 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The Encinitas Half Marathon will be Sunday, March 4th, from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and will travel through Leucadia, Encinitas, Cardiff and Solana Beach. There will be traffic impacts during this time, so please plan accordingly.
 Impacts to Solana Beach will be as follows:
  • Highway 101 southbound lanes will be closed from K street in Encinitas to Lomas Santa Fe/Plaza St. intersection on Sunday, March 4 from 3:00 AM to 11:30 AM. In addition, Plaza St. westbound lanes from Highway 101 to Sierra Ave. will also be closed from 3:00 AM to 11:30 AM.  Eastbound Plaza Street and South Sierra will remain open for vehicular traffic. Please note, Highway 101 northbound lanes will become two-way traffic during the closure hours.
  • Parking along Highway 101 is not allowed on Sunday, March 4 from 3:00 AM to 11:30 AM from K St. in Encinitas to Lomas Santa Fe/Plaza St. in Solana Beach, as well as on westbound Plaza St.  Cars parked there during those hours will be towed, beginning at 3:00 AM.
