Community Advisory:  Ragnar Relay 2018 Running Event No Road Closures The Ragnar Relay will be entering Solana Beach on Saturday, April 7th from 1:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The event is staggered so that no traffic lane closures will be required, but the race expects to have 675 runners and support vehicles along Highway 101 during that time frame. The busiest time will be around 9:45 AM when about 75 runners will be on the Coastal Rail Trail (south-bound) through Solana Beach. Traffic Advisory:  Solana Hills Road Closure Access to Solana Hills Drive north of Lomas Santa Fe  will be closed from April 9th to April 11th. Please be advised that access to Solana Hills Drive north of Lomas Santa Fe will be closed from Monday, April 9th to Wednesday, April 11th. Full access will be restored Thursday, April 12th. The concrete gutter crossing Solana Hills along the north side of Lomas Santa Fe as well as the sidewalk north of the intersection (north side of Lomas Santa Fe between Solana Hills and Skyline Elementary) will be removed and reconstructed. Due to the proximity of this work to travel lanes, the curb lane along the north side of Lomas Santa Fe will also be closed during construction. Both westbound lanes on Lomas Santa Fe as well as right-turn in/right-turn out at Solana Hills will be open in the evening hours on Tuesday, April 10th and Wednesday, April 11th.              Appropriate traffic control devices and detour routes will be in place to guide all roadway users. Please pay extra attention when traveling through this work-zone area. Join us for the opening of the City of Solana Beach's new City Hall Gallery exhibition, "Majestic Fantasy." Come meet the featured artist, Tara Naz, and celebrate her birthday and first solo exhibit. Free admission and refreshments will be served for guest enjoyment.   Tara Naz's Majestic Fantasy collection was created to capture and display the essence of wonder and fantasy. This young and thriving local artist is known for her colorful and dramatic illustrations fabricated from her vivid agination. Constantly yearning for creativity and exploration, Tara never tied her art down to one particular style. Her Majestic Fantasy collection is that of a juxtaposition of a realism, with pop art and geometric shapes. Her paintings include euphoric sceneries, manifesting the spirit of a magical place where one can escape to.  Many of her pieces are influenced by powerful women figures and her appreciation for their strong and unique features.
