Last Saturday at La Colonia Park, friends and families gathered at the 2026 Spring Festival! From face painting to arts and crafts, the park was buzzing with activities for all ages. Kids rode the train, broke the piƱata, met the Spring Bunny, and collected over 5,000 eggs in the egg hunt!
Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed a day of fun, and a special thank you to our Parks & Recreation staff, Public Works team, volunteers from the local Boys & Girls Club, and community members who helped bring the magic to life. We hope to see you next year! |

On Wednesday, the City of Solana Beach celebrated the completion of the improvements made to the beach access ramp and surrounding areas at Fletcher Cove. The project replaced the aging dissipator grate, updated the existing shower station and added a new one, repaved ramp and sidewalk, and upgraded stainless steel handrails along the ramp and stairs. This project was funded by Measure S, the City's 1 cent sales tax that goes directly toward maintaining parks, storm drains, and other infrastructure as well as public safety and other vital city services. |
