The unique small-town feel of Solana Beach has cultivated a community with many wonderful traditions. One tradition that we hold dearly is the City’s annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. This annual community event is a special celebration that kicks off the holiday season. In preparation for Sunday's event, the spectacular 30-foot Holiday tree was installed today at Fletcher Cove Park. Framed by the magnificent view of the ocean, Fletcher Cove Park provides the perfect backdrop for this wonderful event. Every year, the City and the wonderful community volunteers from the Parks and Recreation Commission use holiday magic to transform the park into an evening of Holiday cheer. The Holiday spirit grows each year and now the annual event includes many festivities such as live music, community performances, delicious treats, and Santa’s arrival by a fire-truck escort. So pull out those cozy winter coats, grab your family and friends, and come join us this Sunday, December 4th, at 4:30 PM, to celebrate the start of the Holiday season!
