The City of Solana Beach is in the process of developing a preliminary design and concept plan for a small neighborhood park on approximately half an acre on the Santa Fe Irrigation water reservoir site located on Glenmont Drive. For discussion purposes, a passive open space concept that includes a meandering walking trail, drought-tolerant landscaping, pollinator garden areas, art nodes and potential sitting areas was prepared. The concept of this neighborhood park is proposed to work with the existing natural topography of the site while reflecting the coastal elements of Solana Beach while respecting the current use of Larrick Reservoir as a vital infrastructure element of our community.

A community workshop will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at City Hall. The workshop will be held in-person in the City of Solana Beach City Council Chambers, which is located at 635 South Highway 101. At the workshop, the conceptual design will be presented and input from the community will be solicited to determine what features are desired for this neighborhood park.
