  • Live Web-Streaming: Meetings web-stream live on the City's website on the City's Public Meetings webpage. Find the large Live Meeting button. 
  • Live Broadcast on Local Govt. Channel: Meetings are broadcast live on Cox Communications - Channel 19 / Spectrum (Time Warner) - Channel 24 / AT&T U-verse Channel 99. 
  • Archived Videos Online: The video taping of meetings are maintained as a permanent record and contain a detailed account of the proceedings. Council meeting tapings are archived and available for viewing on the City's Public Meetings webpage.
Public Participation
PUBLIC COMMENTS
  • Written correspondence: (supplemental items) regarding an agenda item at an open session meeting should be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office at clerkoffice@cosb.org with a) Subject line to include the meeting date b) Include the Agenda Item # as listed on the Agenda.
  • Correspondence received after the official posting of the agenda, but two hours prior to the meeting start time, on the meeting day, will be distributed to Council and made available online along with the agenda posting. All submittals received before the start of the meeting will be made part of the record. Written submittals will be added to the record and not read out loud.
And/Or
  • Verbal Comment Participation: Please submit a speaker slip to the City Clerk prior to the meeting, or the announcement of the Section/Item, to provide public comment. Allotted times for speaking are outlined on the speaker’s slip for each agenda section: Oral Communications, Consent, Public Hearings and Staff Reports. Public speakers have 3 minutes each to speak on each topic. Time may be donated by another individual who is present at the meeting to allow an individual up to 6 minutes to speak. Group: Time may be donated by two individuals who are present at the meeting allowing an individual up to 10 minutes to speak. Group Hearings: For public hearings only, time may be donated by two individuals who are present at the meeting allowing an individual up to 15 minutes to speak.

COMMUNITY WORKSHOP: La Colonia & Fletcher Cove Playground Renovations

COMMUNITY WORKSHOP:
La Colonia Park & Fletcher Cove Park
Playground Renovation
The City of Solana Beach is excited to announce the next step in the renovation of the Tot Lots at La Colonia Park and Fletcher Cove Park. Please join us as we share the proposed design alternatives for each Tot Lot that were developed from input received during the previous community workshop and an online community survey. This Community Workshop will be held as part of a Special City Council Meeting at the following date, time and location:

Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 5:30 PM
City Hall Council Chambers

This Workshop will provide another opportunity to provide comments on the proposed Tot Lot designs and for the City to receive additional feedback on specific playground elements. City Staff along with the design team will present details of the proposed design options at the Workshop/City Council meeting.

Improvements will include new play equipment, play surfacing and associated landscape areas and furnishings. The City is committed to promoting inclusive play opportunities and incorporating public participation during the design process.

La Ciudad de Solana Beach se complace en anunciar el próximo paso en la renovación de los parques en La Colonia Park y Fletcher Cove Park. Únase a nosotros mientras compartimos las alternativas de diseño propuestas para cada área de parques que se desarrollaron a partir de los comentarios recibidos durante el taller comunitario anterior y una encuesta comunitaria en línea. Este Taller Comunitario se llevará a cabo como parte de una Reunión Especial del Concejo Municipal en la siguiente fecha, hora y lugar:

Este taller ofrece otra oportunidad para brindar comentarios sobre los diseños propuestos para el área de juegos y para que la Ciudad reciba comentarios adicionales sobre elementos específicos del área del parque. El personal de la ciudad junto con el equipo de diseño presentará los detalles de las opciones de diseño propuestas en la reunión del Taller/Concejo Municipal.

Las mejoras incluirán nuevos equipos de juego, superficies de juego y áreas de paisaje y mobiliario asociados. La Ciudad se compromete a promover oportunidades de juegos inclusivos y incorporar la participación pública durante el proceso de diseño.

May is National Bike Month!

The City of Solana Beach and BikeWalkSolana Celebrate National Bike Month!
May is National Bike Month, and the City and BikeWalkSolana invite you to be part of the celebration!

Solana Beach Community Tour Ride

BikeWalkSolana will be hosting their second annual Tour of Solana Beach Community Ride on Saturday, May 14th. The tour will be led by qualified ride monitors and will pedal through the lovely neighborhoods of Solana Beach at a leisurely pace. The 15-mile ride will will start from La Colonia Park at 10 AM. In 2019, well over 100 people of all ages joined this family friendly event. More are expect to join this year, so make sure to register early. You might even win a raffle prize! 

Solana Beach Scavenger Hunt

BikeWalkSolana's self-guided Solana Beach Scavenger Hunt can be completed any time during Bike Month (May 1st - 31st). Over 400 people enjoyed this friendly adventure in May of 2021, exploring, biking, walking, and car free. This year, BikeWalkSolana has partnered with the Solana Beach Civic and Historical Society to add something new: learning about Solana Beach history! The historical plaques with QR codes on historic buildings will help scavenger hunters find answers to seven questions about Solana Beach’s past. Participants can use their cell phone to submit a completed score sheet for a chance to win raffle prizes. The grand prize is an e-bike from San Diego Electric Bike. Registration for this scavenger hunt begins on May 1st.

Glenmont Park Community Workshop *Will be Streamed Live!*

COMMUNITY WORKSHOP:
Glenmont Neighborhood Pocket Park
Tonight, April 21, 2022 from 5:30-7:30 pm 
As a reminder, a community workshop will be held on Tonight, Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm to gather comments and receive input on a proposed park space at the Santa Fe Irrigation water reservoir site located on Glenmont Drive.  The workshop will be held in-person in the City of Solana Beach City Council Chambers, which is located at 635 South Highway 101. At the workshop, the conceptual design will be presented and input from the community will be solicited to determine what features are desired for this neighborhood park.  

PLEASE NOTE that this workshop will be broadcasted live and can be viewed via television and on the city's website. Como recordatorio, se llevará a cabo un taller comunitario esta noche, jueves 21 de abril de 2022 de 5:30 a 7:30 pm para recopilar comentarios sobre el espacio del parque en el sitio del depósito de agua de riego de Santa Fe ubicado en Glenmont Drive. El taller se llevará a cabo en persona en las Cámaras del Concejo Municipal de Solana Beach, ubicadas en 635 South Highway 101. En el taller, se presentará el diseño conceptual y se buscará la opinión de la comunidad para determinar qué características del Parque se desean para este vecindario.
