The Board of Directors of the 22nd District Agricultural Association (22nd DAA) is preparing a new Strategic Plan for the Del Mar Fairgrounds. To begin the strategic planning process, the 22nd DAA Board (Board) requested that their staff prepare a report detailing the 22nd DAA’s vision, values and long-term goals, as well as the staff's assessment of the Fairgrounds' strengths, challenges and opportunities (see the Staff Assessment Summary link below). This will provide the Board with a framework for recommendations and considerations as they move forward with their strategic planning process and the formulation of the new Strategic Plan.
The 22nd DAA Board is also seeking community input and involvement. As such, the 22nd DAA has created a questionnaire, a link to which is also posted below, to help guide discussion and recommendations for the Strategic Plan. Additional items that members of the public wish to address with the Board are also welcome.
All members of the community are invited to attend the various 22nd DAA Board meetings and strategic planning workshops. A calendar for these meeting will be made available on the 22nd DAA website. Those who cannot attend a meeting or workshop are invited to complete the questionnaire found at the link below. 22nd DAA staff will compile all materials received and will include them in the public record. After receiving public input, the Board will hold public meetings to discuss all aspects of the Fairgrounds as well as the vision and goals to be included in the new Strategic Plan.
