The Solana Beach elevator to Platform 1 (east side) will remain closed for refurbishment and repairs until March 5, 2019. NCTD had originally planned for the project to be completed by December 31, 2018 but due to unanticipated construction issues, the deadline has been extended. Customers may use the ADA ramp or stairs to access Platform 1.

Due to construction in the area, there will be increased train horn usage at and near this station through March 2019.
