At the City Council meeting on September 26, 2018, the City Council will consider adoption of a Resolution that would eliminate three roundabouts from further study/consideration for the Lomas Santa Fe Corridor Improvement Project. Due to the overwhelming response from members of the community who live adjacent to the Lomas Santa Fe Corridor east of Las Banderas Drive, the City Council will consider limiting further study to only one roundabout at the intersection of Lomas Santa Fe and Highland Drive as this location was supported by several eastside residents. This study would include preparation of an accurate video simulation of both AM and PM peak hours of traffic (factoring into the model aggressive driving behaviors) and would analyze pedestrian safety, emergency vehicle response times, emergency evacuation routes and other possible impacts of a potential roundabout at this intersection.

The City Council will meet at its regular time of 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, and will hear this item immediately following the Consent Agenda.
