New City Hall Gallery Exhibit

"Remote Landscapes"

The Solana Beach Public Arts Commission proudly presents Remote Landscapes, a collection of artwork by Peter Hartshorn, on view now through April 22nd at City Hall. The abstract landscapes of the exhibit reflect artist Peter Hartshorn's visual experiences living and working for decades throughout South America and Africa as an Exploration Geologist. The opening reception will be held on Friday, March 20th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at City Hall. Stop by to meet the artist, enjoy light refreshments, and experience this beautiful new installation.

Senior Pickleball League Registration

Get ready to serve, volley, and smash your way to victory in the most exciting Pickleball tournament of the year! The City of Solana Beach invites those ages 60 years or older to join the new Senior Pickleball Leagues. Beginner and intermediate leagues run for six weeks during April and May at La Colonia Park. Sign up for a fun, social, competitive activity. Registration is free and opens Tuesday, March 24th at 8:00 AM.

Coastal Rail Service Closure

This Saturday, March 7th, and Sunday, March 8th, the North County Transit District (NCTD) will be suspending all coastal rail services between San Diego and Oceanside to perform routine railroad maintenance and major infrastructure work. Daylight Savings Reminder

How excited are you for warmer weather and later sunsets? It's almost time to "Spring Forward" to Daylight Savings Time which begins this Sunday, March 8th, 2026. Remember to set your alarm clocks ahead an hour before going to bed this Saturday night (or at 2:00 AM on Sunday). This, of course, does mean you will lose an hour of sleep, but it also means the sun sets later in the day!
