Concerts at the Cove this Thursday night

Summer “Concerts at the Cove” continues this Thursday night, July 18,
6pm-7:45pm, with Quintinn Holi performing!
Quintinn is a native Hawaiian, raised in the quiet town of Nanakuli. Like many Hawaiians, he grew up around music and learned of its importance in island culture. He became a professional tour guide, sharing the culture and history of the islands with visitors from around the world.

His musical career began in 1985 when he moved to Kauai. There he met two well-known entertainers, the Apana Sisters, who invited him to play at the Kauai Resort Hotel’s weekly luaus. He soon became a featured performer at the resort.

In 1988 Quintinn became a mainstay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village playing for visitors on the beach of Waikiki performing at Hawaii’s only Five-Star hotel for 15 years, entertaining visitors to the islands. He has also met and entertained many celebrities, including three U.S. presidents.

Quintinn recorded his first original song “Traffic” which became #1 on the Hawaiian radio charts in 1993. “Baby Love,” dedicated to his male friends who had baby girls their first time around, was released two years later and also became an instant hit. Quintinn released his first full CD in 1998, but by that time his music was being played not only in Hawaii but in Guam, Japan, Europe, Micronesia, Hong Kong, and the United States.

Also in 1998, he started working for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and with Hawaii Five-O star Moe Keale. In 2004, he landed a contract to provide entertainment for Norwegian Cruise Lines ships sailing Hawaiian waters: The Pride of Aloha, Pride of Hawaii, and Pride of America.

Quintinn moved to San Diego in 2005. He operates his own recording studio; producing, engineering and recording albums for several musicians, supporting their efforts and venues that provide live entertainment. He also performs and lectures for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line ships bound for Hawaii. In addition to performing at various events, he performs with and teaches Hawaiian culture and history to students of several hula schools in Southern California.
